My only concern with that is I have a brand new carb so ethonal and varnish shouldn't be the issue

Alright. I took the bar and chain off. I could get more throttle this way. I could get 3/4 throttle beyond that it would just stall out. Put the bar back on and I could get enough throttle to spin the chain.

I get alot of fuel spray coming out of the carb. Alot right before it cuts out.

I did put some seafoam in it. Starts better already.

If it's old and wore out you could probly buy a newer/better/lighter saw for what it might cost to revive an old,heavy, moody one.
