That is one of the coolest, most useless saws I've ever seen. I'd love to have an 090 though.
That dude has a chainsaw haven at his place. Not sure if that one came from the junk auction in Mount Airy the other week or not but there was one in a mixed lot.
Anyone got one of these stihl nock off saws from holzfforma chainsaw? They look like 2000 era stihl and are parts compatible so they say….
The g660 has my eye, if any small parts break I could replace with stihl parts

I might pull the plug and inspect, but I doubt I’ll tear down at first, will attempt to break in correctlyThe guys who have done well with them are the guys that totally disassemble them and clean them well, replace some critical parts with OEM and carefully assemble.
The guys who blow them up in days are the same guys who gas em up and run theout of em like LEEERRROOYYYY JEEEENNKKINNNNSS
Still going strong! I have the Neotech version. I did change to an Stihl chain adjuster and put a high volume oiler in it. It starts right up and cuts great. I ended up buying their 12” version and tractor mount for limbs and smaller stuff. I wish I had done it years ago as I have used it a lot while doing all of this cleanup. Nothing bad to say about the ones I bought. Great value.Maybe @89wrangler could tell us how his saw is doing?
I can already hear the comments, but I cannot justify $1800+ for a new big name brand saw. Since Helene has left me with 60+ trees down and most of them BIG oaks, I needed to get something to cut them with. My old 26 year old 18" Poulan is a great dependable saw, but just too small for what I am dealing with. I started looking for a Stihl, but was hit with sticker shock! Not sure what i was expecting, but damn. So this lead to the search of a more reasonable priced saw.
In comes the Neotech 892 with a 28" bar. This is a 92cc Stihl 660 knock off. I guess the patents have ran out and the...
