The one in Greensboro doesn't stock it either, they used to from what I've heard but not really their thing.
 
I had the same response here at the Charlotte store, when I was checking. Dillon didn't carry it and wouldn't order it.

I found Alro because I saw their truck delivering here in Hartsville. Apparently they are down here every week. I'll have to remember Ryerson next time I want to order steel and see if they deliver down this way....
 
Ryerson will deliver, but I went and picked up, drove into the warehouse with trailer they loaded it with a crane and sent me on the way. They dont do too many pick ups as the sales evidently as they seemed a little unorganized when I showed up. Wasn't all bad. I just wasnt sure when they would show up and it was easier for me to pick up.

You just described 95% of the industrial businesses I've ever been in. "Oh, you want to buy something? We are a business that sells stuff, but we don't know how to deal with actual people. Let me go behind the curtain and talk to the wizard."

Stock Car Steel talk to Mike Tock, he gets 90% of what I use. Dillon you have to take the whole stick, Race City is so far away from me I don’t use them but I’ve never heard anything bad about them.
 
Pennsylvania Steel has never let me down. Prices and service are top notch IMO.
They let me do over the phone counter purchases with delivery to my shop in Fletcher.
I stopped checking around once I began utilizing them.
Ask for Mandy and tell her I sent ya
 
100' is a lot I used 3 sticks in my Jeepster cage and had some left over. Think of the weight of 5 sticks...
