saw this for super cheap and grabed it up, been hiding it form yall for a little while so thought i would share. tranny is trash (aw4 with no fluid = broke aw4) pulling it tomorrow and rebuilding it. 4.0,aw4,242 case D30/D35 rustys lca's 5inch coils,4.5 rear pack with shackle. tcase drop,borla exaust,cold air, over head console blah blah and etc....shes getting a rebuild of the tranny asap and then proablly a paint job. right now shes rolling on 34/9.50 and canyons........

paint job?! I would put the money elsewhere for now unless you plan on prancing around at the mall...
 
yep thats what she will be doing.......it is a jeep lol. i have a toyota for trail.

basically this build up will be mall rated. it will be used as a moving billboard for mine and a friends shop. got get hte name out ther to all the mall krawlers and pavement pounders......
 
Are you going to do a build up thread or pictures of that 4runner in your sig, assuming thats yours? Looks like a 2nd or 3rd gen
 
was a second gen.......old pic. traded it for a excab in florida about a year ago or so. if i remember. (90, v6, procomp lift 4" 3"body, 36 swampers on weld wheels. tinted,memphis audio,5.29's and a lockright up front) nasty mall krawler she was..................................
 
found out today when pulling tranny why the PO burnt it up.............he bypassed the trans cooler. colant was running in a hot loop........damn.
 
well at a holiday inn express in greenwood SC tonight, picking up m axles in the AM. then its a 4 our ride back home:)

once axles go in (this week hopfully) then ill just need to trim fenders and mount up some 36's :)

well axles are under the jeep. 35's will be mounted up sometime this week. i went ahead and threw some 34's under the rear to check how it looked/how tall it would be.........turned out higher than i want it to sit.

Out of curiosity... why are you building a spooled XJ with an 8.8 and 36's to cruise the mall?

If you're trying to look like a wheeler (to fellow mallcrawlers and pavement pounders) why would you need f/r lockers and/or beefier axles? Just seems like a waste of good parts.

My only question is why are the rear shocks mounted so far in? To me they look like there going to limit flex quite a bit being vertical like that?

What are you running up front and are you going to run spacers out back.. looks really narrow.. maybe it's just the LTBs

Also, I cant tell from the pic b/c it's dark but are you running a huge block?
 
i think maybe he was saying the black toyota wouldnt see any trails and just the mall...not the cherokee...but i dont know from what i have read on ncttora it might just be a mall crawler show truck.
