cheap ckee

running just 4.5 full pack from rustys. with a 5 inch coil up front.

spacers may be needed but im hoping its just the 9.50's

as for the shocks, i bought these axles from under a cherokee. i didnt set them up. i also noticed that last night and it bothers me a little so it will proablly be reworked latter down the road.

Out of curiosity... why are you building a spooled XJ with an 8.8 and 36's to cruise the mall?
If you're trying to look like a wheeler (to fellow mallcrawlers and pavement pounders) why would you need f/r lockers and/or beefier axles? Just seems like a waste of good parts.

whens the last time your zj got off the pavement. dirt roads are not wheeling:flipoff2:lol::

DD comment was towards my 89 yota......

My only question is why are the rear shocks mounted so far in? To me they look like there going to limit flex quite a bit being vertical like that?

Actually, the shocks being inboard like that means that for every inch the tire droops, the shock extends less. However, the less the shock moves, the less effective it is also..

That, and being vertical at rest means that the shock will do very little if one side compresses..

rear body said hello to Mr. jigsaw today and turned out pretty nice. Alot better than my red ckee did. will have pics tomorrow of whats going on.......

get the quote right ....it's "does whatever a spider pig does" not can. Never misquote Homer.

ok, i slaped on some 33's today to check ride height and a few other things. i would like to here what yall think.

1. do i need a spacer to level the front with the rear.
2. Do you think the rear will settle down and therefor i dont need a spacer?
