Well today’s my last day of work till January 2nd. Can’t rollover but 10 days of time so it’s use it or lose it. Not really sure what I’m going to do but it’s not going to be time wasted sitting around the house. Anybody else on Christmas vacation yet?

You could load up some of the Toyota parts for sale here on the board and meet me half way or so to Louisiana !! Or come all the way and I’ll feed you full of Cajun food and beer lol.... jus sayin’ it’s a thought....
I’m gonna get down that way soon never been.

Can’t say as im a tour guide by any means but some good restaurants and I’ve got a nice fire pit and a full beer fridge. I also live 15 mins from Toledo Bend Reservior so fishing is pretty much always an option. Bring it on down @anvilrubi.

Not a vacation for me per se but were gonna be at Disney starting the 26th thru new years.

Got enough time to take week after Christmas off... everyone has the 26th off except me I’ll be making sure carpet goes in smooth

My Christmas Vacation starts Friday. I have a meeting at 9am to get my marching orders for the new office in WS and a meeting at 10am with HR to hand in all my badges and sign the papers or whatnot. Movers are packing up my household starting Monday and we’ll be leaving on the 26th to drive across the southern US (from AZ) in one of them there RVs. Gonna hit Orlando for New Years, then head north to the DC area before coming back down to Winston. I gotta report in for work on Jan 8. My in laws are gonna roll with us from AZ to Orlando then fly home. Should be an interesting trip! Speaking of LA, I think we’re going to stop for the night in the koa campground in Lafayette. I haven’t been to LA since I was a kid.

Tomorrow is my last day until the 2nd. First vacation this year. Time to load up my metal connector nail gun and get some subfloor blocking work done on the bathroom. But first, the ceiling joist replacement, site built insulation baffles, and insulation. And the rigid ducting and wall cap and electric re-route for the bath fan.

And some fishing.

That should take care of next week.

This would get my vote... lol real back home Cajun food is the key to my heart!

I used the vast majority of my ETO this year to work on building my shed. I have two days left, and might take one or both of them early next week to work on my shed some more since the weather forecast is looking good. My work closes between Christmas and New Years, so this year we are going on a Disney cruise to Castaway Cay during that time.

I'm burning a week of vacation in a cabin outside of Hendersonville this week, then back to work for 5 days, then my office shuts down for the week of Christmas/New Year's. The way the company holiday schedule falls this year I have to work two days from home between Christmas & New Year's. This means I have to check email periodically and reply as necessary. No big deal.

Why am I burning a week this week and not the week before Christmas for a longer consecutive time off? (1) This cabin was rented next week, and (2) my wife's birthday is this week and she loves this cabin. Happy wife, happy life.

Not shutting down this yr, running straight through. 24/7-365. At least I’ll get double time on Christmas.

I’ve never lost vacation time.

I have 19 days left this year (of 20 allowed) and doesnt look like Im going to take any of them...

County gives us 25th-27th off and then the 1st. Sadly, I'm not taking anything extra this year. I'm sitting on 45 hours of comp leave, 314 hours of vacation, & 540 hours of sick.

I'll "lose" 74 hours of vacation - we can only roll 240 over so the 74 will go to sick balance. I really should consider a vacation next year!
