When "I" am doing it, it seems like forever. It's been right at 2yrs now and hopefully we will be riding in about 3 mos. Then we have a 79 Honcho to start on but won't be quite as modified. It will be for my now 13 yr old. Low and slow!

Nice work! It reminds me of my build, huge and not practical.....but fun

This build has been a learning, bonding experience for my 13 yr. old and I, it's gotten his interest and he's learned a lot. Next project will be his 79' Honcho probably with a axle, tcase switch but a lot more practical (cheaper)!

Not much for taking pictures on a daily basis while I'm working so here's some progress lumped together. Still some wiring and rollcage left to do to get it rolling. Did some test runs around the yard with the 2 quart plastic gas tank didn't get very far. Sorry, I thought the shots were going to be labeled, In order.....
1. Olivers drivehaft alot of beef compared to stock.
2.Engine compartment finished.
3.Shock absorbing hood mount for one piece fiberglass hood (checkout thread on "Homemade Shocks.)
4.Cadillac Eldorado rear calipers with e-brake.
5.Vanco Hydroboost to slow the 49's.
6.Custom crossmember to tie rollcage into chassis

Is this one done yet?

.

My usual reply is "it will never be finished" always another mod! Have been making slow progress, just other priorities right now. Goal is to cruizin by early summer. Thanks for the interest, maybe we could have a longest build award?

I think it is time for your yearly updates, pics, etc................ I wan't to see where you are at with this project.
