here is my issue... needing to adjust pinion angle on rear.. UCA has jj on both ends..currently they measure 13.5 from center to center.. we loosened the jam nuts, turned the UCA 6 times and it still measured 13.5....we did this in both directions.. so I adjusted the UCA all the way to the Johnny joint on axle end to see if measurements would change, nope, still measured 13.5...is something in the UCA built wrong....this us my dilemma... it's so frustrating because this is the only thing that I had left to do today to get it back on the road just needing some input and Clayton Off Road is closed today for me to call them so that's why I was asking...
An help???

Yes that is what's happening whenever one Johnny Joint goes in the other is coming out to me it sounds like I have both right hand thread Johnny joints

You can make it work if you take one end out, adjust both joints to the length you want and reinstall
But that completely eliminates the point of double adjustable arms... I'd be complaining to clayton.

Yeah I'm definitely not taking them out unless I go back with the correct ones..... we are human and we make mistakes so I'll chalk it up to an honest mistake but it sucks that I got to take it back apart to put them in not something I enjoyed to say the least but the arms are beefy and their stuff is top-notch as far as being built but hopefully I can get the correct ones and be good to go

If Clayton built them wrong, you can get them to swap them out... but in the meantime, no reason you can't take one end loose and adjust the arm length.

If that is the case then that is unacceptable for me and I'm not going to pay all this money for something to be built like that and not be able to adjust it the correct way taking them out and adjusting them and then trying to put them back in and move the axle is unacceptable and just plain right crazy..... there is cheaper lift kits that have Johnny joints at both ends and you can adjust them on the vehicle

That's ... stupid. If that's the case, they could save the customer a bunch of money and put a rubber bushing on one end.

Clayton offroad and saves money don't belong together. Their shit is way fucking overpriced for what it is.

I went back and looked these arms up, they show it having two RH JJ. Guess the fuckwits don't have LH taps or something.

Those are welded bungs. You just buy the LH ones and weld them in.

Well I'm going to see what Clayton says and if they are designed to where I have to take them out adjust them take them out and adjust them it won't be a good review..... makes me sick to my stomach to know I bought something that I'm not going to be happy with after all I heard about Clayton being the best I guess you live and learn sometimes the hard way..... so does anyone on here have one of their lift kits installed on their Jeep personally

What would be the reason for not building them to be adjustable on the jeep... my understanding was double-ended Johnny joints was adjustable on the vehicle that was their purpose I guess I understand wrong.....

I prefer using all the same joints, usually right handed. My main reason is only needing to carry one spare joint to fit all places. You also don't have to worry about the links adjusting themselves if tire contacts link with loose jam nuts. Its never bothered me to remove the link to adjust it because I don't do it very much. Usually its once and done.

So to get my pinion angle right I guess I take the upper control arms loose jack up pinion height to where I need it then adjust control arms to the length that I need and put them back in is the best way right

Pretty much yes.

Aside from the "paying too much for an inferior product" aspect, no, not really.
Inferior, that's funny. Guess he should have bought some rough country garbage. Yes Clayton is expensive. Inferior, far from it. Well built american made products that hold up well
