Cold start videos

Its that time of year again when the interwebs is loaded up with "cold start vidoes".I never really understood why people post them.If your vehicle is in good operating cond it should start when cold.I guess people need to have unknown folks brag on em or something??? Congrats your car is not such a pos it wont start cold.

@ 23 degrees if it didn't start Id be PISSED.My work truck even started at 17 degrees this morning,sounded like hell but it started.
 
I've cranked my Cummins powered truck in the low teens with no grid heater and it wasn't plugged it. It was definitely grumpy for a little while, but it cranked.

I do love the sound of my 6.0 Silverado when I fire it up. It kinda makes me sad when it warms up and the idle changes to a more consistent lope instead of the cold, angry, lope.

The better question is, why do people watch them?
Because that's why people post them.
 
Some do that's for sure,I don't.I just post some smart assie comment and move on.:D
 
Crap. 23 degrees, cold start.... Not one tap out of my 23?xxx 5.3. Not one.
Oh, I was playing classical though.
 
i will say my 6.4 that hasn't moved since Friday afternoon didn't want to start this morning at 7 degrees. it started just fine but warming up it sounded like hell running on high idle
 
I thought cold start issue were only for carburetor based engines with choke set wrong or not working?? Wasn’t aware fuel injection engines had cold start problems!?? 8degrees this morn my 5.7 vortec fired right up slight tick for 1-3 seconds then fine when oil got up to top end!! Fb has blown my mind over the last few days with the ignorance I’ve seen on there tho so not surprised...
