Title says it all. I've never been off-roading in my life. I've watched a couple of YouTube videos, that's it. I have a '25 Bronco Heritage and want to take it off-road - could I show up at Uwharrie, drop the tire pressure a bit, and do Falls Damn or Wolf Den without a super high risk of needing someone to bail me out? E.G. go on a Saturday or Sunday without having someone else in another car?

Yes you could, but you probably shouldn't. It's rarely a good idea to go solo, especially if you're a newbie. There's a 99.9% chance nothing will happen, but we all have our "it's only Uwharrie" stories where we screwed up big time.

Make an event in the upcoming events section or join a Uwharrie group on Facebook and find someone to tag along with.

If you go on a Saturday, there will likely be plenty of others on the trail in case you wind up needing help. But I have seen a lifted Crown Vic on Falls Dam. You won't have a problem on Dickey Bell either, just skip the hard section as there is a very easy bypass around it.

My advice, start at Rocky Mountain loop double parking lot, take the new Dickey Bell connector (it basically connects at the parking lot), then the bypass around the climb (it's a new trail off to the left a ways down dickey bell), then do Falls Dam, to Wolfs Den and back to RML double parking lot. Stay OFF of Dutch John, and make sure you go to the right where wolfs Den and RML connect (the old Slab Pile trail). Don't take RML down to where it crosses the road, it's doable but likely a little tricker for a newbie.

But I have seen a lifted Crown Vic on Falls Dam.

Yup
