Computer hackers

I really like that virus. I remove that exact virus 10 - 20 times per week at work. Worst case I saw was an older lady who thought sheer would just submit the info and payment it requested. The day she brought it to me sheer had Judy come from the bank where she was trying to get her credit charges reversed to the tune of $20000. Pretty rough. I can only imagine how many others have done the same thing.

Yep; had that one disguised as Security update, & probably got it off porn, who knows? Shut down & unhooked dsl, as fast as I could. Don't know if that helped. Computer Surgeon, looked at it, said good luck, that ones the worst! He instructed me how to return to a previous history, get in safe mode, & run malaware bytes, & other cleaners. MB listed it as Trogan, but after 6 hours, seems to have killed it off! I'm a electronic dummy, but still confounds me, how 3 months back, my e-mail contact list got hacked. Never have given it to any site, other than Live mail,in the set-up. Was not a real word, no numbers in it, no way to tie it to me. But I guess there is a program that hit on it. Changed password, no problems since. Not surprised by much anymore!:shaking:

get combo fix, unhide, CCleaner, malwarebytes, and your choice of antivirus. Put the setups on a flash drive and start the computer in safe mode. If there are no desktop icons or start menu items DO NOT RUN ANYTHING BUT " UNHIDE " FIRST. If you do will hate life for awhile because all of your start menu items on it a temp folder and it will be erased when you run an antivirus. Now, if everything is still there you should still run unhide just incase and then run Combo fix. Will probably have to right click these and run them as admin because the latest and greatest Win XX 2012 will say everything .exe is a virus and won't let you run it. After you run the Unhide and combofix you should be able to run malwarebytes, CCleaner, and your choice of antivirus. This virus is a PITA and I have to deal with it a few times a week. Doing this will keep you from having to worry about doing a system restore or a complete format reload. Remember always backup your personal stuff ie. Doc, Pic, Music, and Movies. Never trust that your HDD will last forever.

This has been a msg. from favorite local help desk. Goodbye.

haha I've fixed this little bugger on a couple pc's the past week, has anyone had the problem with the virus deleting the windows file type registries? the computers I fixed all had their file type registries deleted and I had to re-install every single original windows file type batch by hand haha, good stuff :shaking:
