So I recently bought a SCCY CPX-2 9mm. went out shot it, felt something wasn't right. sent it in to have serviced, came back and now it is working properly and really fun to shoot. I have been using this as my go to pistol. I have been carrying it around on me in the house to get a feel for it (whenever I get my CCW) and I feel that it being a double stack 9mm compact...it is still a bit too bulky to carry comfortably.
I am thinking of trying to get another 9mm around tax time. Been looking at the Ruger LC9 which is perfect size...a little heavy, but has a pretty nice trigger pull.
Also, been looking at the Glock 26, Ruger SR9c, and the Springfield XDS

I am looking for something that is thin, has a nice light trigger pull and pref SA/DA but will consider a DAO trigger. But also want something with a good reset.

I really like my SCCY CPX-2 but the trigger pull and the long pull and weak reset is getting the best of me and makes me want to carry something a little more "my style"
Any suggestions on any of the guns above or something else I haven't mentioned.

Have you shot a Cm9/CW9 Kahr?

Trigger is a little long (newer ones are better) but has a solid crisp feel and clean confident reset

M&P 9mm Shield is pretty thin. I've neve shot one though. I liked its size & feel.

I am not a big fan of the cm9....not quite sure why. the slide is really hard on my hands...not a bad shooting gun though.

this is another one I was thinking of. Never held one though.

I know for a fact that the SR9c is a double stack. I have a SR9 and it is too bulky for me to carry comfortably (I am 5'10" 140). Only difference is the barrel length and grip/magazine length. The SR9c will accept a SR9 17 round magazine (it will stick out of the grip a good bit).

I daily carry a KelTec .380. I want to get a small 9mm to carry instead. I am looking at the LC9 and XDS (when they ever come back to the stores). I have held the LC9 and PF9. I am waiting to be able to shoot a XDS before I make my decision.

I have a keltec pf 9, never leave home without it. carries well & eats any ammo I feed it.

I carry either a ruger sr40 taurus millinieum pro .45 or rossi 3" .357 i like all of them but the taurus is my got to for sure, i cant put an exact reason i just like it better

i carry a XDS .45 ( well i did it is on recall right now ) & i love it with my N82 in the waistband holster
right now i am carrying a SR9 with a N82 in the waistband holster
a good holster goes a long way i carry my gun all day everyday (8 to 10hrs ) & at times i for get it is there

Checking out the shield. Seems to be right at the same size as the lc9. Something else that I'd like is a rack that is easier to slide. I have a hard time left handing the rack on my cpx 2. Been practicing and maybe I just need to shoot about 300 more rounds through it, but it's something that bothers me. In a real life situation, I want to feel comfortable that I can quickly rack the slide efficiently if something were to happen.

Might go up to cop fax ammo and just hold a bunch of 9's

I still have not even held the XDS......I gotta tell you, I want one bad.

the XDS 45 shoots great & does not kick bad i replaced a LC9 for it ( my old LC9 would not feed HP)
the XDS will feed any ammo i put in it & i have 1000 + rounds in it & omly 3 jams & they were from reloads

X2 on the kahr. I've carried a cw9 for the past few years and as far as I'm concerned, I'll never carry another pistol. I carried a glock for work and got used to shooting it and the kahr is the closest thing I've found. The trigger pull feels awful when you dry fire it but awesome when you shoot it.

Another thing about carrying a firearm everyday is a good holster. If you don't feel comfortable wearing it you won't carry it. My suggestion on that is sucking it up and spending good money one one. I carry a cross breed holster and love it. I wasted lots of money on many holsters till I found the cross breed.

I carry two at all times..north american arms .22lr 5shot darringer and a Ruger LCR .38sp+p I love my LCR its awesome....its a very safe, small frame, hammer less, light weight ,simple, shooter friendly and packs a hell of a punch !!!!!!
Just a good all around hand gun for cc !

I love my pf9. Trigger pull is long but is very comfortable to wear all day and shoots anything I run through it. Ive held a shield and like the way it feels but never shot one.

Another big fan of the xds here. I personally carry the xds45 on me pretty much everyday and shoots like a dream. Never shot a .45 that is so acurate and im sure the xds 9 would be the same. And, the 9 and 45 are the exact same width and hiegth. Just throwing that out there! have not had any personal exsperience with other guns you have mentioned in above posts only giving you input on the xds and its worth the extra money to get what you want the first time in my opinion.

... loving my lil Taurus Mil Pro G2, a lot of Taurus haters out there but I've owned a few 9mm and it's right on par with all of them. It is about the same size as the XDS (uses the same holsters) and will cycle even the cheapest tul ammo I've been able to find without any FTE. The only real complaint I have with it are the sights. The rears are adjustable but leave a lot to be desired.... I carry it daily for my CCW

Been looking at the sw shield myself, found it for $399. A friend has the mp version and it is a nice light gun for its size. The present gun I carry causes me to lose 5mpg when driving.

I loved my glock 26. Double stack was a little uncomfortable using a inside the waist holster but gun was very reliable.

+1 I have the cm9 I carry as a back up weapon everyday and as a ccw when I'm off. It is a perfect size for me and shoots really well. The only thing i don't care for is that at night it shoots out a fireball that ruins your night vision. I guess any small handgun may be similar, but that's the only draw back for me and probably not an issue for any regular gun owner. Most people aren't target shooting at night. Over all its a great gun though.

If I were going to carry a nine the shield would be my gun of choice ...I shot several of them...you will be happy with it and money well spent !
