I always hit "Burro Loco" at least once - near Broadway at the Beach.
"Margarittaville" is always packed out - only chance to get in is during the week in the winter.
Buffet also has a little burger joint at the big ferris wheel/boardwalk near the Gay Dolphin.
My kids liked the "Pirates Voyage" - it's the Old Dixe Stampede building.
"Duffey's Seafood Shack" in Cherry Grove is cool.
"Oscars" is a neat little place.
The german place, I think it's "gasthouse" or something, people just call it the gas house. My kids danced with Vanna White's kids in there along time ago. Ooompa guy playing an accordian on certain nights - go when he's there.
"Ultimate California Pizza" at the beach it's not the same as the one at the malls, I like it.
Calabash, NC to me peaked about 10 years ago. A lot of the restaurants have closed up that way, only 2 decent ones left if you ask me, one is "Dockside" and forget the other.
There are 2 brazillain style steakhouses, one new one near Broadway and the other on business 17, I think "Gaucho's?" is the name. Expensive but man that is some great eating, best steaks I've had in awhile, slice off what you want, they keep bringing it. The "Gaucho's" looks like it is an old converted Burger king or something.
Murrel's Inlet has good food and a boardwalk, but some restaurants burned over the winter.
Always a new place to eat at the beach, you'll never hit them all.
Big, Greasy, Nasty stuff yer gut breakfast - "Tar Baby's" in Cherry Grove.
My standing rule at the beach is don't eat at any chain type reataurant that I could eat at when home.
