Cool Places/Eating Places In Myrtle Beach

Ok, So I just got back from Myrtle....had a blast....it has really changed since I last went. I had alot of good food. Makos Grill, Hamburger Joes, The Beach House, Damon's, Stacks, but the one place that I was most excited about that I absolutely hated was drunken Jacks........I am sorry to all those that loved it, maybe I went a a bad time, but it was horrible...I got on of their onion loafs and it was plain and bland, the hush puppies were bland, and the shrimp just wasn't good and the salad bar was terrible...lettuce was soggy and brown...just had an overall bad expierence.....Although Murrell's INlet was REALLY cool...I wish that we had ate at the Dead Dog Saloon or ANY of the other places in that area....It was fun to just walk out to the pier and look out...fun seeing a bunch of drunk people acting crazy. The best place I ate at was The beach House on Ocean Blvd...great service, AWESOME food.

High recommend it!

EDIT: We also went to Margaritaville....that was a cool place and a really good margarita!

Drunken Jacks is awful, the place next door was called Creek Rats? Or something like that it was way better. Some of my family lived there for 20 years recommended Biminis and it was cool. Sorry it was Capt Dave's we hated.

Just ate at the Dead Dog Saloon 3-4 days ago and it was the worst meal we had at the beach besides the one I cooked at the camper.lol Salons wasn't too good this time and the service was to say the least was aweful but I don't judge the taste on the service it just brings down the overall experience. My steak which I did order med rare couldn't have been on the grill more than 30 seconds and I get better ribs out of a plastic bag at the grocery store.

We're thinking about Flo's at Murrell's Inlet and maybe Angelo's based on this thread

Duffy's has a place on resturant row and in Cherry Grove. They do it right everytime I go there. The one in Cherry Grove is a funky little 2 story place. The one on the row is more your typical MB resturant. Cant go wrong at either one. Bank on it.

Tar Babies has a great breakfast. Then there is a Chinese/Japanese buffet right near the Lowes in Cherry Grove.
I think they have a quarter mile of buffet bar goodness.

Yup! Tar babies is the bomb! If you want to sleep off a food coma on the beach, this has been the place since the 80's!

There used to be a place in MB called The Farmer's Daughter. It was more of a country style buffet food mixed with seafood (cooked in cornmeal not seafood batter). Is it still there or has anyone else ever been to it? I went there all the time with my parents when I was young and I thought it was pretty good.

My wife ate at Duffy's in Cherry Grove while she was down with friends, I haven't tried it yet, but she said it was very good.

Yep, you can't beat Tar Babies for breakfast, but be prepared for a long nap after.
