Crawlspace dehumidifier

I'm sure @Mac5005 has some suggestions if he checks the board still.

You can replace the cheap amazon ones many times over for how much the fancy shit costs. I just run a sensor in my crawl space to know if it stops working.

I was leaning towards one of the 350ish dollar crawlspace ones from Amazon didn't know anyone with real world experience with them. My crawl space is 6'ish in most places so it's not tall enough to go through the effort to pour a slab but still good for lots of storage. I put down some 15 mil poly when we moved in. Once construction is done im going to clean up down there and seal up everything best i can.

Putting linoleum over that poly in high traffic areas helps with longevity

I'll look in the crawl space tomorrow for the brand he put in mine. It's going on 3+ years with no issues.
 
@Mac5005 advised me to put a keystone when I redid moms a few years ago,

Keystone for works well for cheap model but currently recommending aprilaire with WiFi for being able to troubleshoot remotely, and keeping an eye on compressor run time and humidity levels from anywhere.

Depends also on volume of air/crawlspace sq footage.

If you are hanging from joists make sure you use rubber/nylon strapping and not metal/chain hangers. Too much vibration.

Aprilaire is going to be easier to “hang” from joists.
 
I too bought a Keystone about 7 years ago after reading @Mac5005 suggestions.

It was freezing up, so I bought another one. The new one is working well.

If it dies I might look at Aprilaire, they're more expensive but look heavy duty. I didn't know if the price was worth it, but since Mac has them I might look again.
