I've been wanting to check it out, but at 3 hrs away it is too far for a day trip. I'm going to try and work it in on some kind of overnight trip at some point in the future.

It’s a little under 3hrs from me as well. Maybe this spring.

Never heard of it before seeing this post, but yeah, about 15 minutes west from where we used to wheel...

That tunnel has been shown on the Science channel a couple of times, under programs, like Forgotten History, What on Earth, or others. But even a week ago the show was still showing the bulk heads. So they must be using footage a couple years old.
