33's with a Detroit true track and 4.10 gears. The carrier threw a couple bolt heads that got picked up in the gears ans mangled everything.
Upgraded to a Ford 8.8" with an LSD. The the LSD carrier broke and upgraded to a full carrier Detroit Locker.

33s lincoln locked and blew out the pinion bearing...geared 4.10

I've broken mine with 31" a/t's, 32" m/t's and 33 boggers and a/t's all with 3.73 gears. Most of the time its the driverside shaft snapping but torn the spiders up too a couple times. No problems so far with 4.88s and 33 m/t's

Broke mine with 4.10 gears, 33" claws and a lockright. Happened right here. Shoulda stopped after the first bounce.

Went with an 8.8 years ago and haven't had an issue since. Currently minispooled on 36" SXs with steel beadlocks.

I hope talking about it doesnt bring out the curse...
I welded the 35 in my ECORs racerig and have beat it thru 4 races now. I assume the ratio is 3.54, but never bothered to count teeth. Auto transmission, NP231, standard XJ stuff. Now, off to load it up for Harlan Saturday.

I thought I posted a followup here, but I guess not.
My turdy5 made it thru 1.95 more races (that last 0.05 really sucked). Shaft quietly snapped right at the drivers side carrier bearing, ejected the wheel/tire/drum/shaft a few feet later.
Oh well, the first thing I did on this years rig was swap in a welded 29-spline 8.25.

32s and 3.73
& broke the spiders on the drive to the store (but also was hard on the shiny pedal)
now have a Dana 44

I broke mine on 33s 3.73s and open giving to some skinny pedal going up Daniels trail.
