If that was the case, then why was it stated that the trail closure was temporary and should reopen in about a year? There was even some discussion on this board about helping to fund the archelogists to speed up the reopening. For the record, I will be shocked if it ever reopens. I have been going to Uwharrie since 1990 and have never seen a trail reopened after it was closed.
 
Because that's what the paperwork says but we know what it's really about. I was told from a reliable source that it is definitely not opening back up.
