Diesel prices, $4/gal yet anywhere in NC? Now $5

Yup, it is $4.54 at the station 2 miles from my house.

There are 5 places around Greensboro now up to $4.59/gal.

I saw a projection last night that said $5 for diesel will happen as soon as the middle of June.

I do not post on here much but I have been lurking for a while. Here diesel jumped 11 cents last night then another 10 cents right after lunch!!! It's now at 4.59 a gallon!! The part that is really killing me is the article I read on MSN money yesterday that the big oil companies are making so much money this year they are running out of things to do with it!!!

On my run to NY and back this past wekeend I saw $5.159 per gallon just north of the NY/PA border.

It was between $4.49(DC on monday) and $4.87(PA on sat) my whole trip up. Near Binghamton(Vestal) I saw $5.09 friday night.

I found it for $4.39 in Raleigh last week but paid $4.69 in Va and NJ this weekend.

It went down here in Hendersonville. It was 4.799 went down to 4.759

I hope the downward trend continues.

That is pretty refreshing to hear. It has been holding strong at 4.69 for a while here in salisbury, but i havent seen it drop any yet.

4.59 at Sams in Wilmington this morning. Hopefully this downward trend continues and all the prior projections will be wrong!!
