DirtBike trail options for kids??

Might have to head down there on Saturday. Ive been hearing nothing but good stuff about that place.

Nc4x4 ride should be planned!

I would be down for that. A few of us regularly make the trek west to ride Brushy or Brown, but these closer options like PlayDirt and Jibtopia are becoming more appealing. After this weekend I'll probably be off the bike til mid January. Maybe later if I ship it out to KOM to spectate.

I'm slow and out of riding shape, but I need more people to ride with and get motivated from. The newer trails at NCMP aren't bad, just not like they used to be. PlayDirt is closer to me though.

I never knew Jibtopia has trails. How are they?

didn't go this year, but last year they were grass paths mowed in briars and head-high weeds. Made for goo wheelie practice though!

Much better now. I have a solid loop out there from the VXCS race. Before that weekend, yeah, it fucking sucked. Now it feels almost like a 4.5mile turn track. Definitely not my favorite place to ride, but it's only about 20 minutes from the house so it is convenient. It has a lot of potential if they did some bobcat work and added an endurocross section.

I have not been there since the trails re-opened. Do they have an actual loop or do I have to criss cross the same spot 10x like before they reworked it all? And is it all a 40ft wide rut fest still? I stopped going there because every other turn was a slop pit that would swallow a bike.

Actual loop now that flows pretty well. It hits on a lot of the trails that were there before. No awful ruts (well just a couple spots like 2-3). When I went earlier this year I would have never gone back, but we tried it again last month and had a lot of fun out there again.

PlayDirt is closed tomorrow but open Sunday (not sure why but posted on FB). We thought about doing NCMP tomorrow but I think I have too much other stuff going on.

Yeah I just noticed that they would be closed. I may give NCMP a shot again. It's the closest of any option.

Ncmp Saturday if anybody wants to join. Have a decent group going

Thanks for posting up about the changes there and motivating me to get up there again. The new loop is the jam and doing it with all 3 options gives it a little of everything. Rode on the 22nd and made last minute trip there on the 26th with some local VXCS/VCHSS racers.

Good to hear it wasn't just me that liked it now. Still not as good as before but a damn fun time still

Now we all just need to ride together one day.

I am going to try to ride a good amount the next 3 months to get in shape for track season (motorcycle)

Yeah. I would love it to be a longer loop, but it's 45 minutes away so I can't complain.

I'll ride at every opportunity between traveling these next two months. First weekend of March is the first GNCC.

Holidays have had me tied up and I haven't rode any, woke up sick this morning so...

On a side note Emma is supposed to get her cast off next week.:)

Dang that sucks, but she needs some milk!
I have access to some private woods trails and a motocross track in Cabarrus county (just north of Charlotte-Meck). Pm me if yall ever head down. Let me know if me and my son can check out the trails and track. Nothing to ride around concord mt pleasant area. Thousands of acres of woods and trails but no one will let you ride, hunters only.
