Get one with the shallow upper (third) rack for silverware. I think that's my favorite part, no more silverware baskets taking up space and things stabbing me when loading/unloading the basket.

We had a cheap ass Electrolux or Frigidaire. It cleaned the hell out of the dishes but was loud as fuck. Actually it was as loud as a pre kid fuck. Haven't had one that loud since they came along.
Then a stupid house attachment broke that cost like $75.
So we did our research and bought a $750 GE Profile elite.
It's not quite as loud as the old post, but you can't sleep with it running.
Plus it doesn't clean the dishes well either.
I don't know what I'd buy but it wouldn't be a GE.
