Look at crappy dog food like McDonald's. It's cheap, plentiful, won't go bad if you leave it out for months, they sell it everywhere, and if you were to eat it every day you would probably develop some health issues.

To me, good dog food is cheaper than a vet bill.

We had a dog, Leroy who got pretty miserable with itching and paw chewing hot spots etc and changing to a good dog food with salmon as the bling ingredient solved everything.

Leroy is survived by the 8 yr old puppy monster know as Sophie who still maintains the same diet

Fish oil works well (natural salmon preferably), but you are doing it all wrong. Don't add it to their food, you are supposed to bathe them with it. A gallon jug goes a long ways.
