DPG race next weekend - who's coming

Ha Ha everyone picks on the fat guy! Atleast someone could tell they ran over something when they hit me. Right back at you buddy!

:bounce2::beer::bounce2::beer:I will definatley be there on Saturday. Takes about an hour or so to set and get the steam rolling and the griddles just the right temperature. Planning on serving at 11:00 --11:30, Give or take a little. Hope to see every body on the 20th. If I have enough people staying over or coming back I might set up again on Sunday. I can't get my help from Saturday to help on Sunday because they both have to work that day. But I will see what happens. Let us know this week how many would like to have me on Sunday please. Providing it's OK with the Mud Devils of course, and the weather of course. Your Hot Dog Guy!

I've been wanting to check this stuff out so the wife and I are gonna try to make it out. Me and a few buddies have been toying around with doing a MarsFab race truck. So I'd like to see how everything works in person. Plus I'd like to meet some of you guys. I've talked to many of you on here and we haven't met.

im pretty sure im gonna be there...then again, my calendar skills are as bad as ratties.

I'll be shooting yankees down here in Bentonville that weekend otherwise I might would go and throw rocks at Joe Darlington as he drives by on his Zuzu.

Definitely there, camping fri and sat night. Gonna help RC for a day or 2 before. Gonna be a REAL fun time!

You better be there so I can give you one of these :flipoff2: in person

The wife and I will be there Friday around noon-ish. Gonna pre-run and generally chill and hang out. Camping that night for sure.

I may bring our smoker and slow cook some pork goodness Friday night.

Dang...I was thinking..errr hoping, more folks would be chatting this race up.

It's local to alot of folks.
Good times people...come on out!

I will be there racing.. and hangin out... see ya there

This seasons just starting, you're not to late...come on!!

The races are all over the east coast though aren't they? My trailer isn't in any shape to be hauling long distances at the moment. It needs about 500 bucks thrown at it and it'll be good as new.

One in Kentucky, the other 4 are "all over" the Carolinas, centrally though (Morganton, Spartanville, GSO Triad I think).

Bring to all you can! 2x lockers and 34" tires would bump you to b-class.

Well that's not too bad. How do you get started?

Doing an 8.8 swap in the XJ. I'll be running a mini-spool in the 8.8. Does that still qualify as class B?

Not really "all over the east coast", the only one that is a real trek is Harlan, KY.
The list of locations are here:
http://sites.google.com/a/ecors.com/title/schedule

And there's nothing wrong with just doing one or two races. People seem hung up on the idea of committing to a whole series, but I don't really see any need for that at all. It just means less of a shot at "the big payout", but that assumes yer doin' it for the cash... I know I'm not... but even if you are, they only tally up 4 of the races you participated in so you can miss some.

IOW, just come and give it a try!

March 20 at DPG in Silver Valley
April 17 at The Flats in Marion
June 19 in Harlan
Aug 21 in Spartanburg, SC
October 23, venue TBD but looking like it may be WV (about 3 hours north from Greensboro)

Not really knowing your setup, I'd say check out the class requirements to see where you fall. Class B is here: http://www.ecors.com/ecors---class-b
There are 4 deciding factors for class B. You can choose 3 of the 4 and still be in Class B. Anything more it'll put you in C.

For example, if you have 2 lockers, you cannot have greater than 40" tires and cannot have any tunable vehicle supporting shocks (air shocks, coilovers, struts, etc.) and must have an engine that was offered in your vehicle (i.e., toyota motor in a toyota, jeep motor in a Jeep, etc.)

For class A, you get up to a 35" tire if you have no lockers (limited slip is OK). You can have 1 locker but are limited to a 33" tire. In addition, you must have a factory engine (no GM 350 engines in Jeeps, etc.), and must have stock type suspension. Aftermarket shocks and lifts are OK but IFS rigs shall remain IFS and leaf spring rigs shall remain leaf springs, etc. etc.

If you have any questions about the classes, etc., feel free to PM me or call. 252-341-2016

Hope I helped explain it a little :)
