Droid Smart Phone Q's

I dunno about the X but I love my Droid. Its taking some getting used to but def worth it. Did you get that axle in yet?
I havent yet, I did finish my roll cage, wheeled over July 4th, then fuel pump went out on the TJ:shaking:
Im cleaning it up and getting it ready, I have the new mounts and brackets......almost there, but the fuel pump was a set back I wasnt planning on, but will be just fine:driver:

As far as the X goes, I have seen it, and well I WANT ONE! The star gazer app is probably one of my favs. I know alot that has the original Motorola Droid and they all love it. Even the Incredible I hear good things about. I am trying to be patient so can get it on my new every 2, but patience wasnt a virtue I was blessed with!

Im a lil nervous about the touch screen....Im rough on phones...so far so good for everyone that has one??

I am surprised with how my droid has held up. I work in a machine shop doing the easy, dirty work and surrounded by small metal shavings. I keep the phone in my front jean pocket and lean against metal, tables everything and it holds up just fine. I have also gotten coolant and oil on it through my jeans and you would have never known. I do have a screen protector on it and it does so signs of wear on the frame around the screen, but the screen is still in tact and crystal clear.

That is speaking more for AT&T but I get your point.

maybe not Apple has announced the4re is a hardware issue that causes I4 to actually have worse recep than I3

I was a little worried too about that. I had a old school flip phone untill I got the Incredible. The flip had some broken keys and was in rough shape. I carry mine at work (up and down ladders and in tight spaces) with it doing great so far. I did get the see thru protector for the screen. I love the scanner APP too. I was listening to Queensland, Australia police the other day...lol Weather bug is a great APP. It shows your loction and the radar so you see storms coming.

I just got mine yesterday. I got the Motorola Droid because it has the keyboard. The virtual keyboard works so well that I never use the slide out. Plus it has talk to text which works pretty well

Update

Don't know alot about these phones, hung out with a buddy last night, pulled into my apartment complex and there was 5-6 cop cars and a ton of cops just sitting at the entrance, he pulled up a police scanner app, was pretty impressive, and now I want one of these phones really badly.

thanks these are two apps I will def be downloading.

Ive had my droid for a couple weeks now and still have had noo problems. The phone is alot more durable than I thought and with the rubber case I got with it its taken a few drops already. I have to say I am VERY happy with it.....

The wife and i got droids, we opted for the original one, we both liked the keyboard. Plus this is a big step up for us both. We've had no data plans before and now have full on everything.. The X looked cool, but I just didn't see me using 80% of the cool stuff. I figured in 8 months some other cool shit will be out and used Xs will be available if I like..

I'm still trying to get the hand of all the cool features...

LOL Neither been to Stations a few times and Im a legal citizen so I dont qualify to work on the tree farms. I worked at American Emergency Vehicles in Jefferson building ambulances. Got laid off about 2 mos ago. Just caught me off guard when you said "Blondie" cuz thats what I call my wife sometimes. Didnt know if I had met you before somewhere...

Nope. I was referring to Blondie at the General Store. What a freak show! Wait, you're not related to her, are you? ;) I love the campground complete with "burnout pit." Yeah, I guess there's not much for work in that area. I love the place, though. If I could, I'd move there in a heartbeat.

Trust me... keep it a favorite vacation spot and leave it at that. I think know who your are talking about now. The lady at Woody's right? No, No relation thank God, Ive only been in there once that whole place gave me the creeps. Have you been up here lately? theres another place opened up across from Stations called Freebournes. It stays open year round and has some good food for a bar & grill. My wife and I thought this would be the perfect place to live too, but trust me its not

Noted. I've got a feeling she's spent some time in those campers, too. Yeah, the place is creepy now, but when I was a kid going in there, it was even WORSE! At least my memory of it is. I actually ate a hot dog from there a few years ago. I think I'm still digesting it. I hate to hear it sucks up there. There's so much beauty surrounding it. I'll have a place in the hills someday, though.

Dont get me wrong it is absolutly beautiful up here! I got a lil place with about 4 acres, a creek running through the property, walking distance to the New River, Fishing, hiking, its got it all. A great vacation spot but living here year round is hard. I gotta give it to these mountain folks they are survivors. I gotta nice place Ill sell you if your looking.....
