Early this morning officer Foote told me there was a wrecked tacoma on RML from last night. I had to hike out and have a look. Let this be a lesson. I dont think I need to say any more.

How do you know they were drunk? What was their BAC?

The only thing I see wrong in that picture, is a fine for having alcoholic beverages in a National Forest.

Maybe the owner was drunk and his inexpierenced wife decided to take the wheel??

Just saying (and stirring):flipoff2:.....

If it was in the dark..they probably thought they were hanging over the edge of a thousand ft cliff! Someone prolly screamed...GTFO OF HERE! WERE HANGING ON A CLIFF!!!

SWEET!!! They put beer in camo boxes now so you can hide it in the woods when you're camping at URE...........

What is it they say possesion is 9 tenths of the law.

IDIOTS :shaking:

must be light weights, almost all the beer is still there
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA also, they must have had their fill, they left the beer.I remember once I got stuck in a farm pond on my buddy's land and I had to carry my girlfriend out on my shoulders. Her Job???Hold all the beer over her head so the boxes wouldn't get wet and be a pain in the A$$ to carry/drink on the walk home.

Why is it always Busch drinkers? Is there something in crappy beer that makes you retarded? It seems like 90% of the beer cans I pick up on the trail are Busch

HAHAHAHAHA That is by far the best thing i have read in a long time

That truck isn't going anywhere without a snatch block and a winch. The front passenger tire is 2 ft off the ground. Plus, it's a Toyota....
The driver was not arrested. He did get 3 tickets. The story is, this kid borrowed the truck from his dad in Jamestown. They drove out here late last night, wrecked, and attempted to hike out to the road. They got "lost," called 911 and they had to send the rescue squad to "save" them from the dangers of the uwharrie forest. And they never left the trail ...

omg, thats pitiful :shaking:

...What they shoulda done is manned up n used that machete in the back of the truck to hack
that tree down thats buried in the grille, and then drove on down the mountain. :gitrdun:

We need to start an "oficial NC4X4" fail thread. With these two yahoo's story as the first post.

Serving as a Scout leader for many years, and active with other youth groups, and having Jeeps with winches and stuff, I've gotten more than a handful of calls over the years from teenaged drivers that have done something stupid. When they would call me, I always gave them a choice...before pulling them out, or whatever they needed, either the cops or their parents had to be there. They could call either one, but had to make the choice, and call. Funny how it was always their parents.

This poor guy has to deal with both.

I call it "paying the stupid tax".

Thats what I was saying, thats a badass case of busch, not sure if its enough to say the driver was drunk, I see stupid people make mistakes like that on a regular basis. If I borrowed my dads truck and did that, I would rather call the cops, cuz he would tear my ass up. Beyond that, these things happen. I get calls from friends on a regular basis, as for the rescue squad, thats just pathetic, I don't even know my way around the URE trails too well, but I know if I keep walking I will eventually find either someone who does, or a campground or the double parking lot or something. Still, I wouldn't wheel alone especially in a stocker like that.

cant believe they left the beer, i hope thats what one of the tickets was for! i know that drinking in URE is illegal but for those that must, they should wait till they get back to camp and settle down for the night. i hope they werent drunk cause there is a lot of beer left in the back, haha.

You can tell it's a different generation. I would always deal with the cops instead of my dad. I even called him from jail once when I was 19 & he hung up on me!
