Dumpster Rental in Triad

So I am looking to throw out a bunch of junk (old furniture, random house hold crap, etc) and would like to rent a small dumpster for a day or two. Seems the going rate is around $300+ and even looked at one of the dumpster bags at Home Depot, but they are still $250. Anyone know of a company that's local that might be a bit cheaper? Or a Junk removal company. Its not a terrible amount of stuff, but having a dumpster for a couple of days would allow us to go through our house and just get rid of all the junk we don't need anymore.
 
I’ve used Knight Container many times. Usually $350, call them when it’s full and they come get it.
 
I would use budget dumpster when I lived in Illinois. It looks like they are nationwide: Raleigh Dumpster Rental | Budget Dumpster

They are basically a wholesale dumpster rental business, so you get their economy of scale for a discount.

Those bagsters are a ripoff, you can damn near rent a 30yd for the price of one of those.
 
Depending on where you live and how close to the road you are, a dumpster can get real full, real fast, from random folks wanting to get rid of THEIR stuff too.

Just from their quick quote online, you most definitely do not get an economy of scale discount lol. Their rates are almost $200 more than mine.

@Cherokeekid88 $300 is pretty average depending on the size of the dumpster and how long you're renting it. I rent my 15yd for 300 for a week and my 20yd for 350. Both include 2 tons of trash disposal fees. I have competitors that are cheaper and some that are more, but most of us are around that. Try to use a local company instead of a big chain. Support small business!! Lord knows there are enough of us out there haha.

We need a sticky somewhere here of members and what business they own that we can use / refer. There are so many business on here that I never knew about.

Interesting, well there ya go. In the massive metro area I used to live in, they were way cheaper than the other companies.
 
From what I read, even the bagster bags from home depot/lowes are $250 to have picked up. Still looking around for a local outfit, but I'm also on the fence about just waiting for bulk collection in my neighborhood and just set out stuff little by little to be collected.

This is also something I was worried about, because there was someone up the street from us who has a rental dumpster and I thought about doing the same thing...but Of course, I wouldn't do that, but I know there are people who will.

Timely topic. They normally empty our dumpster at work on friday morning at 6am, but didn't pick up last week. Cleaning guy texts me sunday night and says the trash is still on the cart because the dumpster is full. Monday morning I go out to find this.

A bunch of pokey ass oak limbs, and 3 giant bags of leaves. Of course Waste Management charges a $250 "Overage fee" if it is overfilled (Our weekly service is only $150/month :shaking:). And we have em on camera, but they are too far away to read the tag.

What really doesn't make sense is that we are in Charlotte city limits, and the city has curbside pickup, but these dumbasses loaded all this in the back of their GMC Yukon and brought it here.

I hate people.

When I was cleaning out my first house turned rental for the next tenants, I rented a 40 ft dumpster and had it in the driveway. I had about a 80ft driveway on a rural road. I rolled up to see some folks chucking their garbage from the back of their pickup into it, and promptly encouraged them to either climb back in and retrieve their deposits and leave on their own accord, or wait for the sheriff to arrive they backed right up to the dumpster and I was blocking them)

Apparently they were not the only ones that did that either.

Also had several folks I knew that lived near me ask if they could put old mattresses in there, and some household junk. I was truly shocked how much garbage other people seem to have when a big ass dumpster shows up :dumbass:

Makes me wonder if that's why all these cracker box builders now have a box made of 2x's and building wrap in the front yards of their spec houses for building material scraps.
