Durable paint for tubing

Dont spend money for toughness. Your not going to get anything that wont scrape off on rocks!.

Priorities...

SURFACE PREP...So it dont "fall off"!

Cheap...Wally World or Similar

Easy to touch-up...Textured paints can be rolled or brushed, so no masking needed and touch ups blend good

my thoughts exactly! My second thought is... there sure has been a whole lot of conversation of something that's gonna get scratched off.

WOw, I never thought this would be such a long thread.
In the end, I went with the Rustoleum Hammered rattle can black.
Why? Reasons listed above. I did the prep (sanded, cleaned etc), it's shiny and has texture so it hides the imperfections in my craftsmanship (critical for my ego, haha), and I already had a queart of it in a can so I figure rolling on a second coat would be easy. Esp sicne some parts will be difficult to do w/ spray later anyway once they're mounted.
Couldn't find Duplicolor in a can, just rattle spray and touch-up tubes?

I like the bedliner idea. I may do that around the fenders once I deal with the rust.
