Easy trails at Ur?

$5 for a one day pass. and im with bruce on this one, its also pretty dependant on your driving ability and less what your rig "can do"

From 24/27, turn left onto River Road after crossing the Yadkin River. There are places at that intersection that will have passes. Proceed north on River Road about 7 miles til it runs into NC 109 at Uwharrie. Mullinix's Store (Exxon) is at that intersection and you can get a pass there, too. Turn left onto NC109 and go north about two miles. After you cross the Uwharrie River, the entrance to the Hunt Club area is the first left, or you can go another 3/4 of a mile or so and the Eldorado Outpost is on your left.

From NC49 out of Charlotte or Asheboro, exit at NC109 and turn south toward Troy on 109. It's about 10 miles to the Outpost.

All trails at uwharrie are easy.

sure, but that wasn't the question. I think the original question

Are there trails at ur. that can be run with a stock full size P/U?

Has somehow been lost in all this testosteroni (the REAL san fransisco treat BTW)

Newbie Tech....remember?

URE in a stock full size will be "challenging" and fun. It'll make you think, and use "finesse" instead of $$$ you way out with lockers, gears, tars, winch...etc

I'd try it just to see your limits in it (damn...I sound like Bruce :D )

Oh yeah, well my grandmother drove a Yugo up Daniel in the middle of the night during a thunderstorm.:flipoff2:

neone kno when uwarrie closes foe winter??

Pancake? You're back?

I've been behind a bone-farking-outta-the-box-stock open-diffed worn-out split-pea soup green USFS Dodge crew cab 4x4 loaded with fence posts and rails when it went up Daniel on a work day. Does that help?

The goat also went up Rocky Mountain loop loaded, but he avoided Kodak and Grandstand, so maybe it wasn't such a feat after all. He said it was because of the fence materials, but I didn't believe him. :D

And Uwharrie season is April 1 thru December 15, unless weather forces a later opening or an earlier closure.

I went to URE and did just about every trail except daniel in my mostly stock taco. The only mod I have so far is a pair of sliders I made myself. I will say that at one point I dropped the truck on the sliders and got a gouge on them that would have otherwise damaged the rocker panel.

URE is great fun. From the tone of the thread it kind of feels like guys are putting it down. If you like wheeling and spending time in the woods it's the best $5 you can spend. BTW, dutch john is a fun hill. :)

One of us is asleep.....

Last line in the third post up from yours, Johnboy, the one with "radioman" on the user name.

I found out that I can get to kodak rock, not over it. can I do the same with the hill climbs on dutch john and Daniel?

I made it through uw in my completely stock tj with pretty much bald radials...it was fun seeing all the guys look at me and say you took that thing on the trail!

I stock jeep can run everything at URE. we had a stock 80something 4runner tear those trails up...dutch john, daniel, and kodiak were the only problems but he nevered got winched so...I would say...go for it

last few times i went this year we had a stock tj in our group and he ran daniel need a strap on the ledge.... but other than the it did fine....
