^ yes they are pretty stout inside, I will give them that, but very weird in how they work. they wouldn't warranty my unit because of the HP that Im running, so after it wouldn't 'work' at the Flats ride, I of course took it apart to see what broke. that's when I broke it down to see how it functions. The D60 version isn't anything like you see on youtube, those are the smaller units with the pins. this works with a very stout locking ring like a true manual front hub. that sucker aint gonna break, but because its so big and bulky, it takes a very precise alignment between the shafts to engage. this is handled with the ramp action. the ramp action is engaged (turned) by friction due to the magnet which resides beside one of the side bearings. when the magnet engages, the ramp then is pulled into play and when it does, hopefully there is no differential action between the shafts or it will never lock. then when it does lock, if you back up it will unlock (reverse ramp action) until things get oriented just so, then it will lock in reverse. then you have to go through the whole sequence to get forward lock. now Im very experienced in the woods and know what Im doing, but dammit I like to play, and only when Im denied several times via open diff, then I do want to engage a locker (thas kinda the whole point). at that point, youre in the shit and probably got one tire in the air and another jammed under a rock and theres no way in hell that its going to lock up -too much differential action. the magnet simply cant hold the ramp in place to overcome this action. when it does as soon as you have some wheel hop and torsion in a shaft it will unlock and leave you in open diff again. suckkkkkky. I took a bunch of pics and will post someday as to this dumbassery they come up with. my buddys couldn't believe it when we had it on the bench playing with it. its the stupidest thing ever, almost like Fuller built it.
