eh. . . another midnight thought

the reason they set limits is because until your maybe 19 or twenty you really dont have a relationship its more like crushes liking crushes sometimes it works out but out of how many people in the nation have grew up and got married id say not very many have liked their spouse before they were in there 20s. its about your minds maturation, you dont really start thinking about who your going to live your life with till your in your 20s look up Erik Erikson’ Psycho-social development and youll see where i got this from
I know we are the exception and not the rule but me and my wife have been together since we were 17 and were both 38 now. She's tough.

at 16 you should be thinking about what you want to do with your life, not who you are going to spend the rest of your life with. just my opinon, but seems to me a kid should grow up and experince a little bit of life first. by the time i was in my later teens i had no intrest in little girls i was after women.then again some of these 16 year olds these days look like women.

At 16 I had interest in girls/women,low trucks, big motors, loud stereos and pretty much anything else that was not school/career related.I graduated but not because I applied myself. We did'nt marry until we both were 24 so we lived alittle before hand.

I started dating my girlfriend when she was 14 and i was 17 and we are still together now shes 16 and im 20. its a good thing the parents like me or i might be in jail

FWIW Linda and I been together since I was 15....31 now, married in 2000

A few months back i was eating out my GF and had a girl that went to the same HS as me ask if the Girl was my aunt!!

Wow...sounds interesting tell us more....
(Honeslty thats the way I read it the first 3 times....)

Having raised a daughter, I've come to the conclusion that there's only one reason a kid over 18 would date a 15 year old, because he can't get it from girls his own age. No way would I have let her date someone over 18. She had a friend who's parents let her date a 21 year old at 16, and she got pregnant. They figured they could control it. That was an illusion. That being said, she's 21 now, and dating a 26 year old, I have no problem with that.

The line has to be drawn somewhere. to allow it on a case by case is just not going to happen.

allowing a 21 yo to date at 16 yo is just crazy (some situations, may be acceptable).

Would you want your 16 yo daughter dating a 21 yo? I know I wouldn't. Once the child is 18 and out of the house, they can then choose for themselves if they want to date someone 5+ years older.

there is just some sort of crazy-sick thoughts that start to appear when someone thinks its ok for a 16yo (still in early to mid high school) girl to date a 21 yo (could almost be out of college) dude...

The line is easy.

"1/2 your age + 7". That sets the range.

Math resolves all.

40 y/o gets the 27 y/o hottie.

21 y/o must wait until 17.5.
16, must be at least 15.

case closed.

I started dating my wife of 12 years now when she was 16 and I was 20. Per that logic she was 1 year to young for me.

I think what your missing is all the pervs that pray on young girls. In must cases the younger the better and being a father with a young daughter your just going to have to listen when I say its WRONG. Keep in mind if its TRUE LOVE it will keep and when both parties are of age its all good by the court system(I want be happy about it). This happened to me in walmart a few months back my daughter and 3 of her friends all under the age of 13 were about 15' ahead of me because its not cool to walk with dad. When I saw this man(at least 40) looked all the girls up and down and smilled real big at me. Which I only know a few of you but I'm a 6'3" 280lb redneck and I actually wanted to drive his head through the floor. I didn't but we had a very short conversation that ended with him running away from me and out of the store. Now I'm not saying thats right and he may have had good intentions but being a dad he was on my fighting side and came close to seeing it. Take it for what its worth cause some day you may have a daughter and I know your opinion will change then. If you ain't out yet have another
shoulda smashed his damn head in the floor!!!!! I would have...
