This in now way concerns me except for it involves several friends and a chick from my fire dept. So try and keep the bs to a minimum (I know there will be some)


Whats the big deal about age and dating?? Its so wrong for a 20 year old to date a 16 year old. But once your over 18 it dosent make a damn. whats the defference between a 45yrold with a 30 yrold and a 21yrold and a 16yrold besides some maturity.

im not saying that all youg kids are capable of a actual meaning full relationship (hell some adults aint)

another thing to look at is todays cultures are different. Relationships have changed over the years. use to be you never slept in the same bed and you didnt "do it" untill you was married and things like that.

I think there should be some limits to the age with minors but I just dont see the big deal if they really do care about each other and its not about sex. which would make it wrong(sex with some minor)

I can see it both ways and once you get deeper into it it can be real touchy.
I see this thread going downhill quick but im bored and gonna post up anyway. Feel free the say w/e but like I said this in no way says i promote 50yr olds screwing 13yr olds and crap like that and dosent involve me, just my opion on a random topic
 
My opinoin is after 18 the diff dosnt matter...Although im not saying if i ever have a daughter i would approve or let haha her date a 28,35,45 year old dude:shaking:




A few months back i was eating out with my GF and had a girl that went to the same HS as me ask if the Girl was my aunt!!MWWhahaaaa that was a funny moment..There is a 9yr diff between me and my gf. In my eyes age is what ya make it:beer:
 
Yeah

I think it should be looked at situation to situation.
not as a whole except for some limits

no matter how mature a 16 year old is they shouldnt be with some 45 year old.

My fiancee and I were walking down the beach summer before last, when this lady came running up to us. Asked us how old we were, so then I asked well how old do you think we are? She said she thought I was about 21, and my fiancee was 14-15. :shaking:

Had to laugh...Nope, she was 21 and I was 20 at the time.:rolleyes:
 
I think once they (both parties) reach 18 it dont matter,but with that bein said I dated a 15yo when I was 18.

thats what im talkin about, the after 18 it dont matter. Why do people think that??? is it based on two imature people and is now the opion of the population?

so it takes more maturity to date some one then to operate a 2500+ vehicle by yourself?




oh and one other note ive had a few. . . several :beer:
and feel like rambaling on and arguing haha
 
I think what your missing is all the pervs that pray on young girls. In must cases the younger the better and being a father with a young daughter your just going to have to listen when I say its WRONG. Keep in mind if its TRUE LOVE it will keep and when both parties are of age its all good by the court system(I want be happy about it). This happened to me in walmart a few months back my daughter and 3 of her friends all under the age of 13 were about 15' ahead of me because its not cool to walk with dad. When I saw this man(at least 40) looked all the girls up and down and smilled real big at me. Which I only know a few of you but I'm a 6'3" 280lb redneck and I actually wanted to drive his head through the floor. I didn't but we had a very short conversation that ended with him running away from me and out of the store. Now I'm not saying thats right and he may have had good intentions but being a dad he was on my fighting side and came close to seeing it. Take it for what its worth cause some day you may have a daughter and I know your opinion will change then. If you ain't out yet have another :beer:
 
I met this girl through a friend she'd just turned 16 and I was getting ready to turn 22. I don't know how or why but her parents let me go out w/ her and date her. I wouldn't have let me if I were them but here it is ten years later we dated almost 5 before we were married and have been married almost 6 yrs. and we have two wonderful boys. So sometimes it works out. I'm just glad I've got two boys.
Icaught so much flack from all the guys about dating a youngin but now they wish they had a young chick. HaHa
 
I also have a daughter.I think if she fell in love with a young CHRISTIAN man and she was 16 and he 18-20+/- I would counsel them with my wife and allow them to date chaparoned or with a group.I would also consider letting them marry at that age.These days kids run around having sex,getting diseases,having abortions....I truly believe if people got married earlier 16-20 it would save many marriages,babies,parents hearts...
This of course would be dating and waiting not sexual til marriage.

the reason they set limits is because until your maybe 19 or twenty you really dont have a relationship its more like crushes liking crushes sometimes it works out but out of how many people in the nation have grew up and got married id say not very many have liked their spouse before they were in there 20s. its about your minds maturation, you dont really start thinking about who your going to live your life with till your in your 20s look up Erik Erikson’ Psycho-social development and youll see where i got this from

Thats why I asked the question, I didn't look at your profile. You stated "I just turned 21" yet you have been on here since 2008.

I just turned 25 & my husband is 33...we started dating when I was 17. I guess its safe to say that age isn't really an issue in my opinion but it does depend on the maturity level of the individuals. Each relationship is different though!
