Ever wonder what happened to your old rigs?

Anyone know a way to actually track down vehicles? I would kill to find one of my grandfathers old Jeeps and restore it. He passed a few years ago. To bad the only thing I have to go on is his name.

I know he owned a Willys of some sort, a C104 Commando, and an early Wagoneer. Surely one of them is still alive.

HAvent seen it in person but i see plenty of pics on a diff website of it!! It was my first vehicle. 95 cherokee country with the 4.0.

This is when i first got it!!!

I sold my TJ last september. Some how the kid that bought laid it on it's side on Daniel shortly after. My friends recognized it and called me in California to rub it in.

Here she is. My dad bought this jeep new in 96. When I turned 16 he gave it to me with 140K miles. I kept it clean and running well all the way to 200K miles and sold it. Before I sold it, i had cut the fenders (not pictured), 3" lift and 31's, hella 500's, CB radio, replaced the entire sound system... also fixed alot of crap that breaks on an old jeep. It never left me stranded though, It was always able to limp home.

I miss that jeep so much. I took it everywhere in HS... to the beach, mountains, tailgaited out of it at HS football games.

'82 Toyota Hilux 4x4 long bed, sold to salvage yard

'84 Toyota 4x4 short bed, was released to pasture at Carnage Acres, I beleive it has been scrapped by now.

'87 Toyota DX 4x4, sold and was sent to Mexico

'85 Toyota 4Runner, sold, last I heard it was somewhere in Fuquay Varina, haven't heard or seen it in 2 years.

'90 Toyota 4Runner 4cyl 4dr, sold lives somewhere near Charlotte, possibly being reconstructed into a family offroad vehicle

Current, '73 GMC K25 wonder if it'll ever leave

The only one I miss is the '85 really never got to do what I wanted to with that ride.

2 years ago i sold my 94 s10 blazer to a couple of mexicans for $800. It needed a new transmission, head gasket, and heater core. 2 days later they returned to give my license plate back with a new transmission in it. 3 weeks later my dad saw it dead sitting on the side of I-485.
Basically, I was glad I got rid of it when I did

1975 Ford Bronco...drove it in high school. My stepfather still owns it; original midnight blue, hard top, and Ranger interior.

1977 CJ7...sold to my little brother and it now sits on my grandfathers farm. 258 w/ T18.

1996 Chevy Blazer 2D...somewhere in Michigan.

2000 Dakota QC...sold in Cary but haven't seen it. Sharp looking but the tranny couldn't handle towing.

1972 Pinz 710M...sold to a guy in AZ; he drove it back! Most likely its still on the left coast.

1976 Pinz 710K...sold to another guy in AZ, and he drove it back! I know it blew a clutch about a half a year after he had it. I saw him trying to sell it over the past year with little success. He did some hack mods to it...too bad as it was a nice rig (except for the dents from Tellico).

1967 Mog 406...sold to a guy in Calli. Haven't seen or heard anything about it since I put in on the hauler's trailer.

My dad had an old 78' F250 back in the 80's. Just so happens a few years ago my brother was scrounging in a junkyard in boone and finds a good set of axles for the jeep. Looking through the old ford he finds a pack of old registration cards in a ziplock bag, all of them having my dad name on them. The funny thing is that my brother never knew my dad had this model truck and was pretty blown away by it.

And i know exactly where my old cruiser is...i just have to walk a few steps behind the barn

haha...I remember that...pretty wild...

I sold my 86 MR2 to a friend who works at a tire store in North Raleigh. Glad that he was able to fix it up and is still driving it. The funny thing was that the guy who sold the MR2 to me years ago called me one day to say he had seen a car just like his old one (it is very distinct - some red body panels and some white). I told him not to be so amazed that he had seen a twin car - it was the same car. :)

The car I want back is my dad's 66 Vette. He sold it when I was 14 (1990?) because I guess he needed the money, and didn't know I was "into" cars. I didn't even know he was selling it - just one day it was gone. He was original owner. 36k miles, everything original, always garaged. 427/390hp, 4-speed, sidepipes.

He sold it to a relative of a friend, and it got totalled a couple months later in SC by another car with a driver who had no insurance. The new owner fully restored the car after the wreck - that really SUCKED for him - the car was PERFECT before the wreck. He still has it, I think in Hilton Head, SC.

My wife and I always talk about trying to buy it back from him, but I doubt I'll ever have the scrilla to do it unless I win the lottery. But if I do win, that's the first thing I'm buying. :huggy: :driver:

sold my 88yj early summer '06, needing some work, and found it forsale late spring '07 with all the work it needed done and then some, forsale for less than i sold it for, so i bought it back and drove it all summer '07 then sold it for what i had in it, and bought my tj

Wow, you're lucky. Somebody sure took a hit on that!

I have friends down on Capital Blvd. in Raleigh that see the Taco running around every now and then. I have never seen it since I saw it leaving my driveway and rounding the corner for the last time :(

larger picture than I had thought...
