failing jack stand thread

I sheered the pin in one of mine one time but it was because the jack was at maximum height and I need just a lil more to get the stand out.So instead of letting the jack down, blocking it,and rejacking.I just jerked on the handle and sheared the pin.It was my laziness that caused the problem but I wasn't under the vehicle at the time.I have a 1980 something set of Blackhawk stands that don't use a pin.

I've always had stands that have a secondary pin lock

Yes, I posted it.
Yes I deleted it. Permanent delete, it's gone.
Why because of instead of seeing the mechanics of how they are designed, and the safety feature that is supposed to be built in, every one wanted to attack the math, the way it was presented etc. Not one positive comment from all the know it all's on here. Often this place seems more like Pirate than NC4X4.
I have one with a broken roll pin, I just assumed it was a piece of crap.........and comparing this place to PIRATE is like asking me to take some fella seriously whom wasted his time proving an inherit design is better than common sense. Just doesn't compute.

Why? Exactly?
Because I think it's weak sauce to close a thread because it didn't go your way. If I subscribed to that school of thought I would have killed the douchebag car thread within a couple of days. That thing took on a life of its own.

If you love your thread, set it free. If it comes back to you, it is yours. If it doesn't, it never was.

Blame the Canadians...
Without a doubt. I don't blame Lance. He built it, he can sell it. I just wish he could have sold it to some cooler assholes.
