I just went fast!

My buddy just stopped in with this lil 85 1/2
944. Said "Come on, take me for a ride!"

It' not stupid quik or even super fast..but it was a blast to hit my hometown, curvy backroads...the roads I know best! Took a 30 min round trip in about 15 mins.

Ahh 'twas good for the soul! My hands are still shaking just a bit.

Were any oranges involved?

Aren't the thing fairly fuel efficient for what the weren't back in the day? Like fairly decent for a "sports car", or wedge shaped driving aperatus.

He claimed it was capable of 30 mpg . I don't know about that. Maybe @BIGWOODY can answer that.

It's a 5 speed, handled pretty good, seats were like, race car comfy. But I do know..we were not getting the best fuel milage while I was driving...at all.

Actually funny you chimed in..we past your house at about 90...hit 120 over the bridge..then slowed to 80 for the s curves. I'm sure we could have taken those curves even faster, but no use in pushing it that far!

If only they ran as good as they handled.
The handling and name is what sold them.

I don't remember it getting great milage, but then fuel was like $1.30 a gallon back then.

I had a '88 Turbo S ...that would flat shit and get for it's "era". I had to add it to the long list of stuff I probably shouldn't have sold.
