Any tips on some good deals this weekend?

... particularly in M18 Fuel, would love to get a string trimmer and/or chainsaw

For the broker people that are using craftsman like me. Lowes has a deal right now you buy there 99 dollar 20v battery and charger you can get certain bare tools for free. I got their biggest impact 1/2 inch and 20v battery and charger for 105 out the door.

Is this a good deal on Milwaukee?

M18 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Compact Drill/Impact Combo Kit (2-Tool) W/ (2) 2.0Ah Batteries, Charger & Bag

$199

Haunting Lowes website every day will eventually get you a deal. About 3 years ago I caught 2 DeWalt tools I wanted on sale plus 2 free 6ah batteries (about $100ea usually). Nothing was announced, you have to look daily.

The 2.0 batteries are a bit on the small side. Also, the "Brushless" line is in this weird place where it's more expensive than the standard units, but not as good as the "Fuel" series. I don't know how much better it is.

A good compromise would probably the same Brushless kit, but with a 2.0 and 4.0 battery.

When I first started my Milwaukee addiction, I bought the Fuel drill with two 4.0 batteries, and then bought the bare tool 1/2" drive impact. The drills are strong enough that you don't really need an impact for most things, and I use the impact all the time around the shop, much moreso than for woodworking, so the conventional square drive is much more useful for sockets and such.

Ok I forgot to be looking for the Fuel line. I've killed two Kobalt drills and want to step up and was looking for something I could get with maybe 0% interest. I love buying things on other peoples money.

Also check Northern Tool. They usually have the same prices as the other guys, but you can usually find coupon codes for $20 off or something ;)
