[Feb 15, 2014] Big Creek '30/30 Valentine' Trail Drive (Uwharrie, NC)

Hi, it is snowing pretty hard with freezing rain here in the Fayetteville area as of 12:45PM Thursday. My area looks like a big hockey rink, and I am not even considering driving. So I have to ask," if there is no major improvements to the road conditions is there going to be a weather decision on cancelling this event?" If I have to eat the $30 no biggie I'll catch y'all next time, but it is not worth trailering my rig 90 miles on bad roads. Thanks

Roads should be much improved by Friday afternoon.
I have had a lot of requests for a snow ride :)
If we don't see improvement in the main roads we will consider postponing.
As of right now, it is still on.
I'm bringing in more people to help with guiding and recoveries. Please keep me posted on the road conditions there in the Fayetteville area.
Thank you!

I am halfway between Fayetteville and Uwharrie. If you stick to the main roads to get there you should have no problems. Side roads are bad or good... depending on your perspective.

My son and I are coming with his TJ, 33's locked front and rear, and my LJ on 33's locked F&R + winch.

Thanks, things cleared up pretty good late this afternoon, but I was in the "is this crap ever gonna end mode" today. I am pulling a trailer and the brakes are out, so that was my concern. I'm pulling with a Dodge 2500, diesel and the trailer with my rig is about 6k which is zero issues on clean roads. I'm good to go, appreciate the update.
