Feb 28 - Carolina Adventure World

Y'all should come to the beach every once in a while and try out carolina backwoods

I know there is at least one event out East for next year!

6 months advance...i could commit. even if i had to wheel the rover, i'd go to support opening of new trails.

Lets bring this thread back up....

If for example, there were to be a one time truck jeep trial day...to see if the owner would consider a full time truck access.

And if there also happened to be a local say event planned the same day...possibly some time in say February...just for example of course.

How many people would commit to being there and riding if they were given 6 months heads up?

Heh, you are so bad.... uh yeah I think I could make it...

I'd be there and know at least 4-5 that would come along, too.

From what i got from our Prsident. He originally talked to the actual owner about getting a jeep run and possibly opening up trails. But somewhere the manager talked to the owner and it got stopped. I really am not positive about the entire goings on, since i wasnt there and am just recieving it from our president. For interprestation of it, it looks like they are not sure about getting full size rigs involved because they are doing quads and cylces and have done real good, so maybe it is a case ofwhy fixx it if it isnt broke. I am not totally sure. The president is still trying to get something happenin there so it is not all dead, but as of now, this event is cancelled :( I can try to get my President to post up so he can put it in his words.
I was there that day with Joe, David from West Wateree offroad and Rich Ivie. Basically the owner wants no part or responsibility of maintenance. Like we told him.... No need for any!! It was a short lived plan. It would have been nice to have it as a park. The terrain is quite interesting. fairly rocky and huge elevation changes. Rich and I were to be assigned trail cut duty, and even showed up there in Thermal jump suits w/ machetes ready to spend all day cutting trails in the 20 degree weather. I hate it fell through...

So...if it came back alive, I could count on you to be there to ride, right?

Yep. I don't think it will, I just get that feeling. Where about's is Sharon? What kinda rig you running?

Out with it, SkyHi, you're up to something. You got a possible in over there?

I think a number of us would ride there. However, based on my discussions with the management I don't think there is much hope of creating full size trails.

Had another meeting this AM....start getting pumped now...I predict a spring fling at CAW...or maybe a Spring Cleaning...or even a Springs Some'n

but I think sometime in Feb or March you will see some trucks cruising through the CAW....
