Fence Post as a Roll Cage?

Fence posts? When PVC is SO cheap?

And you can get in many different sizes. Make sure you use the heavy stuff though, like sched. 40 at least LOL.

I've never done it myself, but my old boss said he did once, and it fawked him up. Apparently the fumes put off from the galvanized coating burning is very bad for you.

I did a little to wel my mailbox on its post. It is good for you to breathe in the green smoke LOL

if you use copper pipe you can just solder it together. a lot easier than welding.

Plus it can double as storage for drinking water or compressed air.

You guys are missing a great build material for roll cages to keep the center of gravity as low as can be. SWIM NOODLES make great roll cages! Easy to bend, comes in great colors, and you don't havt to buy that expensive padding from Summit! All thats needed is the colored duct tape for that PROFFESSIONAL fit and finish! You guys are so behind in Tech!

I think they will be puttin em back out at walmart soon too!:shaking:

I would just make it out of the gas pipe from Lowes. That way you can just join it together using the threaded ends rather than having to do welds. It's a good way to save on equipment costs.

(I actually saw a Wrangler with a brush guard made out of this one time. He even did the headlight surrounds...More 90 degree elbows than you could shake a stick at.) :)
This. The unions are threaded, prebent, and will be double walled. Strong as can be. Its easy to use and already painted black for you.
