Way to hang in there
yea i wanted to come back bad i love the work up there easy going but this should be a great careerGladto hear the news congrats. But i still wish you were comming back to the mod shop to show these boys how to weld. But happy for ya none the less
Good deal, happy for you on the career upgrade. Mowers to trains....
And i got hired as a signal man based out of charlotte but ill be on the go leave sunday and come home thursday.
As long as that's the job he stands for, everything in the RR is seniority based. Working out of town is ruff but stick with it, the job I work now I see my wife and kid about 3 hrs a week until my job goes on its off days (6/2). They do pay good though, every week the traveling signal men and MOW workers get like and extra 400-500 dollars for expenses . Only bad part is I know traveling MOW workers for the southern still use camp cars, not sure about signalmen. Not sure what all the jobs are called on the signalman side but they got some good ones and high paying at that. And the introduction to PTC should give you some job security for a long while. Is that a permanent thing?
at first until i have to go back to school a second time.... then i will be put with a worker that looks after a section of track and that could be anywhere VA, GA, WV i just depends lol and as far as the travel you stay in a hotel monday through thursday home on weekends if you close enough to come home....Is that a permanent thing?
