Only thing i have to say. If you're going to talk about your low buck mods, atleast give some more details and pics. If there's some innovation in there, already others could learn it. Right now all i can tell from this is you have no money in it & there is a trampoline hanging from it. But i want to see more about the free lift & winch bumper.

& you might be surprised at how cheap some 0.120 wall tubing or sch40 pipe is
 
the reason i don't bother putting up my home made control arms and leaf springs and such........what do you think.....i know i'll get bashed and hated and told i'm some dumbass...but it works for me and gets the job done for me...and NO people don't want to see guys like me "ghetto lift kits and bumpers" because it's not anything to learn from, it's ghetto and ghetto is unaccepted in this community I've realized long time ago so i don't bother with showing that.
 
another point to make....If i hadn't told anyone it was trampoline frame, i would have gotten some descent remarks right?....that's what i thought. some guy done that the other day, he saw it....liked the looks and stuff....told him bit later what the tubing was.....wait for it.......and he bashed the hell out of it but if i wouldn't have said what it was he would have never known and.....I would have a Friend, a fake one!!

hey to everyone, incase you didn't know.....that big ASU Jeep in my picture is for sale on hickory craigslist and hes broke half the darn thing wheeling the hell out of it but the iron rock lift is long arm complete lift with sye kit and motor is practically still new and so is the transmission along with most components under the hood so theres a good cheap 2K jeep with drivetrain and lift kit and 36" iroks worth that alone, just to throw that out there

I stated it was deleted because it belonged in the for sale section.

My feelings are hurt. I doubt I will get over this any time soon.

I had to stop right there. I just couldn't continue anymore. THIS is why you're getting bashed. You honestly think this is a "serious build". You SERIOUSLY think that welding some galvanized tube to the panels of your jeep is going to somehow magically protect the panels. YOU JUST WELDED TO THE PANELS. What is there to protect now? The pristine appearance?

Dude, like you, I have little to know money to spend on my Jeep. I don't even have delusions of winches & doublers. I wouldn't even waste the $32 in welding wire.

You bring all this upon yourself with your Goofy damn ideas of what to do for a "build". You'd catch far less flack and probably even be more apt to be admired if you left your shit alone and learned to wheel the piss out of it in stock form.

maybe the problem is you,you claim to be a christian, yet you are cussing everyone out.

as far as this being a social media site instead of a 4 wheeling site, i consider it both. if you weren't such an idiot you could probably benefit from both sides of it. are there assholes on here? of course there is, they are everywhere in life. i can tell you one thing though, this is best group of people i have ever encountered on the internet. i can assure you if i were anywhere in nc and were to break down, i could create a post on here and there would be someone there to help me in no time.

i asked what was innovative about your build, the only thing i see is that you have welded shit to the body (in turn ruining the body), to protect the body.

I would like to see some of the low buck mods myself. I too don't have much extra coin to toss a my rig. However, I try my best to not fab up something that will give me a false sense of security. I love my family and want to come home in one piece after I wheel.

as Christian goes, yeah i'm not perfect and sick of this crap so i'll give someone a rude piece of my mind when they deserve it and don't care to "prove" my Christianity to you anyways. second, my "serious build" was that it's serious as mine to keep and grow with instead of just selling and finally a jeep to be happy with as mine to do with and have FUN building the way I want to suit my needs....so I put it on here like everyone else does to show my personal project in progress.....but for people to start saying how lame and stupid and unsafe it is already in the first page, you tell me.....that is the way we support one another. I've never ever dogged someone elses rig no matter how rich or low budget it was because I love this sport and happy to be around anyone with any kind of rig used. Your right everywhere are assholes in the world....so what's your point....I just point out the ones on here, that's all so I agree with you there. and Upnover, I know what you deleted but it's the fact that you, like other Moderators, ride your tall horse and jump down people like myself but not others just cause i'm not in your click(don't want to be either) but have read hundreds of posts where "well known members" should have been flagged too but ohh no, we can't go after our buddies. anyways, I will not continue to show anything of my "build" to anyone on here since now I know it will just get dogged and I'll just stick with my local buddies that at least enjoy what "little" miniscule builds we have and play with. now i'm just on here to defend those like myself from the high and mighty rig builders and pros of this so called "wheeling club"

if you saw my control arms dude, you would tell the DOT to come repo my vehicle for unsafe use and endangerment to society but been doing it all my life and never once had an issue but why do I need any acceptance from you, its my build and my ways and have nothing to prove to anyone. I just started a thread to show my jeep, like others do, and be proud of my stuff and to show my jeep like everyone else does but I see how far that got me, 5 pages of junk so no thank you. I'll keep my jeep stuff to myself from now on.

I have stayed out of your thread as far as posting. I was not gonna stir the pot and had nothing more to say than what was already being said. I did my job as a moderator, I took something out(something for sale)and that was it. What I took out, had nothing whatsoever to do with your "build" thread. You think I am picking on you, because you are a dumbass and have such a crappy build, but you are wrong. You think I will moderate you and not others, others being friends of mine and people I know. You are wrong. I have moderated many of my friends, and even other moderators! I don't read all posts of every thread of all areas in which I am a moderator. I read only the posts that interest me and or catch my attention. This thread did, due to former threads you have posted. You do carry a certain entertainment value. Why do I not read them all, simple, I do not put that much time into this, if I did, it would become a job. I was once told, if it becomes a job then I am doing it wrong. Now as a "fuckin know it all, and a fuckin tard that rides a high horse, let me just say. I have given more time helping others on the board and abroad, with help in many areas. I have given of my time raising moneys to help those in need, those who have lost loved ones, those who have had accidents, and for local and national charities, I have given more than you will probably ever be able to imagine. I do it because, well I am all you say I am and more. to be honest, I figured that you had thought I was trying to delete your thread, and not just something in your thread that didn't belong in this area, I figured in all of your Christian values that you would have seen where you had made a mistake, and would actually apologize for your comments. I was wrong. I think you are right in that you should just stick with your local friends and stay away from here. I think that would be in your best interest since it is evident that you will never be able to function here. I do think because of your past posts and responses that would be a very wise choice. But, I have very little hope you will choose that direction. I do doubt that you could ever "stay away" good luck in your build. I will offer this bit of advise. Not everyone carries as much I don't give a shit attitude as I do. Not everyone is as forgiving as I am. I would advise, don't ever introduce yourself as 88jeepster guy off of NC4X4. Someone may give you the very deserving bitchslap, and put you to your knees. Now, don't take this as a threat. It isn't. Seeing as your threads an posts are so constantly called out and the work you do is torn apart with criticism and critiquing by a large number of people on this board, Everyone else the problem, not the one.

I built some really long ones for my cab truck thinking it would let the suspension flex more. They are probably 10-11" long. I made them pretty beefy, and never had any problems from them. They are probably a good bit longer than necessary though. I didn't make them for 'lift' since the hangers were custom anyway.
 
well Mr. Upnover, sorry to burst your bubble...its not my fault that I have come to this day of believing everyone on here is a prick and well like you said from past posts, I believed you were after me because of that. since you say that's not the case, so be it but you can't blame a guy whose forever getting put down by everyone to just give one guy, yourself, benefit of doubt..i have respect for those here who have given me positive and helpful comments and kept their hater comments to themselves...cause that's the grown up way to act..but for those who always feel the need to bully and pick on others like most on here, I haven't a bit of respect for them or what they stand for. I never started my rep in a negative way...to know it all people on here I was but I know i'm not...people on here have a "pissing contest" mentality like children and that's why guys like me end up with this kinda rep because of them.
As far as leaving, many people I know have left forums like this because of crap like this and will I be one of those....NO...WHY?..someone has to stand up and put those hot shots in their place and let'em know we matter too and we love the sport too, ghetto or not. You guys missed the first page of my post where you can tell I was serious and not starting a thread for fun but actually happy to have a jeep to keep and was looking forward to keeping it updated on here as I progress in my build...that was it but very quickly realized nobody gives a darn about that, it was an opportunity for the "crew" to round up the beers and popcorn, crack their fingers, invite the audience and get busy typing their egos. so go back and read to all of you who really started a bad thread and who was actually doing what these forums were designed to do. peace!
