Was it originally wood that someone upfitted got gas? Is it in a stick built house, trailer, modular? Does it have an actual chimney or is it just double walled dusting

Sticker says solid fuel only... am I damn stupid or is wood not solid fuel?? Lol

Modular and it has to be double walled bc no chimney.

Look up the model number with your Google-fu. Manufacturer should have a document online.

But I did used to live at a place with a fireplace nearly identical. Only problem was the heat goes up the chimney mostly. Glass doors may help that though. Ymmv. Don't take that statement to mean it's ok to burn in it, I'm not a fp expert.

Def gonna do research can't afford to burn the house down at this point in time. Should the stainless liners be magnetic stainless or non?? Or does it make a shot?

I’d take it all the way out and then have a chimney guy come check it out..... then put a wood stove insert in it if he says go

Yeah kinda how this came about I talked with a chimney guy at gas station and he showed me what they used for wood burning fireplaces that were for gas and it's basically same as what I have just not black... gonna look it up it's all heavy gauge metal but I don't know squat about chimeys

This says for solid wood fuel or listed gas... would be nice to have wood burning fireplace it already has chain and glass on it!

Ok it's legit I looked up manufacture and states that model is for both gas and wood! I'm stoked... now I gotta chop some wood lol

Do you have a boxed chimney on the side of the house? have you seen the top of it? It probably has 2 pipes for 2 fireplaces or woodstoves. The worst thing about toting wood through the house/upstairs is the wife bitching about all the bark and stuff all over the floor.

and when she does start that jabbing I will say Runnin a broom is way cheaper than running the heat... as I'm far enough away to not get hit! Luckily the fireplace is about 20' from the door so it shouldn't be to bad, but I know what ya mean I use to have to clean all the bark up for wood stove!! I don't think it has two pipes def not a the top it's a single opening
