Flight to Bruges

Why do you need to fly into Bruges?
Rather than having a hike on this side, could instead fly into Bruseels or Antwerp or Dunkirk and take a train in or rent car etc.
Excuse for a fun trip.

I don't have to fly into Bruges, just thought it would be cool to start off with the place I really wanted to see. Also wanted to go to London and Germany.
