Found this knife

My son spotted this knife stuck in a treetrunk, about 5 ft up. We were out hiking local trail (knight-brown nature preserve).
It's got no markings at all. Just kind of curious.

Someone probably got tired of lugging it around. It looks like it weighs a few pounds and is about 3/16" thick at the spine.

That looks like a good knife. Somebody was probably peeling an apple when something w yoga pants came by and distracted the owner who decided it was time to start walkin
