That would be great...
If I only worked 40 hours a week.
10 hours would be a breeze. I typically put in almost 70 hours in 5 days in a warehouse environment, hard hot work. I'm not saying I like it but c'mon, the 8hour days are pretty much over in todays worldThis is also based on teh assumption that all hours of "work time" are of equal productivity. My bet is that people are not such happy campers during hours 9 and 10... 10 hours is a long time to be working straight.
On that note, I'm betting they also have to extend lunch and "off" time to compensate - otehrwise you are also losing an hour lunchtime off. I know NC has las about how many minutes "off" you must be given per minutes of "work" time.
Hell based on this same logic - why not just do 2 20 hr days?
This sounds great and all, but could make things very dificult for families with 2 qorking parents and kids... I'm just saying it's not all roses.
I have worked all types of schedules............. 5 8's, 4 10's, 4 9's & 4 and by far for a 40 hour week 4 10's was the best. Also if you really think about it if you work 50 hours a week your sched really wouldn't change anyways.
We did 4 - 10s at work one summer. There are 2 of us and we rotated on call each week.
It worked out great.

It would switch every week. You ended up with a 4 day weekend every other weekend. And you still got your regular 2 day weekend on the others.
Sadly, after 1 year, he decided he didn't want to do it anymore.
yeah....but you still wouldn't go wheeling.....Dang, that would be awesome!
