What is fuel doing where you are or travel?

Gasoline has bounced up to $3.15 around Mount Airy and Galax, diesel is over $4 but I don’t remember the exact price.

What is fuel oil and bulk propane where you are?
 
I took a pic somewhere on my phone…the day before inauguration, I was paying $1.94/gal for 87 octane at my usual gas station. Last night I paid $3.29/gal. The gas pump has been shutting off for a few months now, anytime I need 25+ gallons. Frankly, I didn’t realize pumps being capped at a certain dollar value was a thing anymore.

Edit…that being said, I really don’t mind higher gas prices. Usually means less dumb asses on the roads, and lowers prices on all things gas guzzler.

Yup, I couldn't care the least what the piece of gas is. I drive 10 miles per day so it could be $5/gal and wouldn't hurt my feelings. And like you said, it keeps the poors off the road and out of my way.
 
This hurt... bought the Avalanche in GA Saturday and had to fill them both from near E on the way home. I tried not to look too close at the price, but it was $3.2X.

I had the app a couple years ago. The stations that participated and offered like 10 cents back, were selling gas for 10 cents higher than everyone else. maybe it has changed,

You have to pay attention and figure out what days and stations to hit for the discounts. Friday seems to be the lowest refund due to the travel volume I assume.
 
I fill up about once every other week. Haven't gassed up since last week, and I don't pay enough attention to what the prices are doing daily. BUT, I do know that when I'm on my way to fill up, I check all the prices on the way home, and Harris Teeter gas is always ~$0.05 cheaper than all the other stations I pass. Then I tack on the $0.30 off per gallon with VIC discount. I seem to remember filling up at somewhere between $2.70 and $2.80 per gallon.

How do you not see big ass neon bulbs? Do you just stare straight ahead and not pay attention to cross roads or folks coming out of driveways either? There are 4 gas stations over my 7 mile commute, I only fill at one, and could tell you all the prices on the signs this morning. And then what do you do when you’re actually standing there filling up? Not to sound paranoid, but even at my small town gas pump, my back is against the car, with wallet securely wedged between my ass cheek and the car, and it’s a constant 180* scan. I’ll pick up on license plate numbers at the vinyl wrap shop across the street, so the gas price is kind of a given, regardless of if it’s on my dime or a company card.

I don't pay attention. I just pull up, fill up, and rollout.
 
The circle K on the east end of town was 3.11/ gal 87 oct 3.59/gal diesel. Those are the easy pay prices cause I use their Easy Pay card to save a wee bit o’ green.

Exactly. I'm going to pay for it regardless if I need gas. I know the general range gas is but not idea exactly what it is. If the gas station across the street is 5 cents cheaper, I don't know, or care.

I do sometimes use getupside but I will not go out of my way at all to save 1-3 dollars on a fill up.
 
$3.69 for diesel in Edenton. $3.49 for diesel in New Bern same day. Fuel is consistently cheaper in New Bern, don't know why...

If I save $1-3 during a fill-up I consider that a free scratcher or lotto ticket. If I hit it big I’ll buy a free tank for everyone on nc4x4!!

Honestly, I havent noticed that it changes per day, that much. But I dont pass too many gas stations on my commute either, so when I go past one, its typically because I need fuel.
 
Regular is around 3.20/gal, diesel around 3.50/gal, and since it was mentioned, I paid 1.99/gal for my propane delivery earlier this week.
