Future shop build advice

Ceiling insulation is done. Still have more electrical to do but once I get the engine replaced in the buggy, I'm going to move all my stuff in and start working in the new shop.

The last row of insulation on both sides was left off until we finish the electrical work.

Anyone have suggestions on someone that does clearing/grading/concrete/red iron building install around Mocksville? We are looking at a house, and once it closes, the plan is to instantly start working on getting a shop installed. I already have a 30x40 red iron building. Wish it was bigger, but I paid $16k for it in 2021, now the same building is $29k, so I don't have much of a choice but to build it, I will just build a pole barn for big truck parking.
 
Don’t know any installers, the guys who did mine were recommended by ARCO, who I bought the red iron building from.
There are some Amish builders in Southern VA, who do turnkey shops/barns and I plan to use them for the next shop. But I don’t have contact info yet. (Gotta close on the new house first)

What was the permitting process like?
Did you do it as your own contractor? Get it graded, then a slab, then order the building that they install?

I go to church with the guy that runs Piedmont Metals of North Carolina Inc, in Union Grove. I wouldn't have any concerns about using him for anything. Does lots of metal building work.

Sign it today, it says 34k today, free concrete and install in the total!
 
I've kept track of the costs to build my 40x80 and it gets a bit eye watering at times. I bought a R&R open pole barn kit then bought extra materials locally as I got to that point of the build. Not because of any issues with R&R, I just couldn't swing the total cost up front and had to do everything in stages.

December will be 4 years since I started clearing trees and I've just started working in the shop the last few weeks. Doing more of the construction saves $$ but eats up a lot of time or spend the money and get it done quickly and actually get to enjoy it.
 
Looks like his quote total would be around $44.xx sq/ft, for materials, concrete and install including the lean to. But that's not including dirt work.

I'm right around $30.xx sq/ft in mine but that includes all my permits, dirt work (we did it), electrical (only 110v so far, still have to buy 220v wire), etc. We did everything ourselves except open pole barn build, concrete, soffit, ceiling insulation and removal of a few trees that were too big/leaning badly.
