G3500 Van - Tow Rig - Now with rear A/C

Ok just a hole so far but I'm making progress... I measure 5x and the cut came out nice and square. I made sure the hole was going to line on the inside etc.. The top will hit on the interior stamping just below the window frame. The sides and bottom will get framed in with some 1" for support and then skinned with removable panels.

Im basically making a box to slide in it will be level and stick out the back ~1" this will help keep water out and give me a place to put snaps for a small cover. I left enough room so I can slide some 1x stock in and caulk/foam it on the sides.

I plan to put the outlet for the AC in the door as well as a pull cord to go outside to the generator. The inside outlet will also feed the other inside stuff...

Anyway just got started hope to have it done this weekend..

kick ass man.....I would sleep in the back of out old E-350 and it would get pretty warm on 7 hour rides....

This AC is just for when camping/sleeping. The main AC has plenty of kick to cool the van when its running/driving. Plus with the extra insulation its like an icebox at times.
