Galloway"s 4wd issue

Would you guys expect anything less from Lester? I mean he's about 90 years old! LOL...I have bought a few things from them in the past when I used to live in Salisbury.

A few tips to shopping at Galloways:

1. Don't go there on the weekend...too busy...or at lunch time
2. Call Lester for price and get there within 20 min or he will forget...LOL
3. Bring beer and smokes to give to the mechanics and they will be your friend and pad balance all of your tires
4. If you need anything from the junkyard give the little guy a budweiser with a roofee because he is a freakin maniac! Troll doll on speed...

I have bought some used tires there and had them rebuild my d300 with some 4:1's. Also Lester has bought some of my old parts/tires but they don't do that as much anymore because they have all the junk they need.

Lester

I have seen both Sides---But for the Most part he has always Treated me very well
Went down Monday to trade some wheels and have 35s Mounted------------- Walked out $100 less than I was expecting to spend
But I Known not to go down on a sat.
Just my 2 cent worth

If he quotes you a price on tires, expect him to either forgot it or in the end it will be $50 higher than what he quoted. He does seem to take just about whatever in trade in and give you decent value for it. I still hate dealin with his old ass, but I hate Woody's attitude even more. Todd is usually good to deal with. As far as not pad balancing all 4 tires, I was told once they only pad balance a tire if it's bad enough to need it. The main reasons I go there are

1. They always seem to have certain parts like the right ubolt in stock.
2. The selection of used tires is better than anywhere else.
3. The pad balancing seems to be by far the best way to get swampers balanced.

he charged me $20 to use his press i had a broken shaft broke off in the carrier @ uwharrie could not beat it out, had to press it out. to be nice i asked how much do i owe you. $20........... i haven't been back since. all he did was point to where the press was. It was a rough day already with out that kick in the balls.
