I've got a 1 month old new concrete pad for a metal garage. What is the best do it yourself option for sealing it up?. Most likely won't do epoxy, but want to minimize it soaking up oil and water.

Anyone used anything lately?

Use a densifier first. Easy to do yourself. You can either seal it after or coat it with expoy. The densifer will improve the concrete. Search ghostshield

It's been 23 years, since I did mine. Called a Stain suppler, & ended up talking to a former co-worker. He advised me well. I don't remember, but I may have cleaned / washed the concrete with Muriatic acid. Basement concrete which had no previous oil or grease on it. Then I applied [rolled] 3 or 4 coats of a colored stain I picked out. Sealer has held up well, even where I have scratched & worn the stain off. The rest of the basement still looks like new!
