Garage Snake

Backyard snake, the biggest Black Racer I've ever seen, over 4' long and by the size of the bulge in the middle, digesting 2 birds or one small squirrel.It was also about to shed it's skin and not friendly at all!......

I did not want to spook it by getting a pic of its head from the other side of the bush while it was digesting and I hope it hangs around.

Black snakes do so many beneficial things in nature, including eating small venomous snakes.
Glad you left him alone....
 
yup we never kill a black snake or a king snake. relocate the egg eaters sure but
we leave all the other non venomous ones alone. venomous on the other hand
find snake heaven soon. now don't get me wrong i"m not the least bit skeered
of a venomous snake (however the old lady is) and will catch em using my cane
and bare hands. sometimes when i have caught a pretty specimen we will put
em in a bucket and gas em to death so i can skin and tan their hides. i have several
nice copperheads and a couple rattlers that came out nice.
